These pages describe briefly the earthquakes in our past , what makes our earthquakes , what is being done to reduce losses resulting from future earthquakes , and what to do before, during and after an earthquake . I live in Indiana and the only thing I know about earthquakes here is that we had one in 1988 . Most of us do not realize what it was that was so small . I remember I was a freshman in high school and I was doing laundry and I thought something was wrong with the machine . It was not until later that the news we realized what it was! :)
