Well, because when we die we go to a place much better than this and live in peace with joy and not sadness . The Earth is shit and it's nothing compared to heaven , so I want to go there , but of course we can not kill and then we would go to hell for what we want the end of the world so we can be with God .
The sky and the earth there is no competition that I prefer.
That's pretty much one of the main themes of his religion .
God made the world ,
Jesus died for your sins ,
The world will end , Jesus will come , the righteous shall rise, sinners will burn.
Therefore, when talking about the end of the world , we are talking about one of the most important parts of your life , there's no doubt that anyone who believes in such things would take interest . Christians live in a world in which three statements are 'fact' .
2000 years longer than that .
My mother once sent me an email about how it seemed that the world could end tomorrow or something, with some links . This was in a day doom over a year , can not remember why people thought that Jesus was coming, but as you note .... did not. I never said or mentioned it , but I lost a ton of respect for their worldview .
However, the Bible says that it seems everything is getting worse and worse and then bam , jesus . So for 2000 years people have always thought that it may not be much worse .
you idiot your comments on the ugly question showed such a lack of self esteem on your part. ps what men call other men hun? i mean seriously being homosexual is perfectly acceptable to me but wtf do you wanna shout it from the rooftops anymore? if i met you in the pub and you called me hun i'd pimp slap you and you probably enjoy it
Lets see, "I think I'll devistate Haiti with a massive earthquake today and kill lots of people and tomorrow I'll hit Calif. and cause a lot of damage." God just doesnt work that way.
These things only happen because God is allowing it. He isnt causing it, he's just not preventing it from happening.
"While he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?....... “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. (Matthew 24:3,7)
Just like those disciples, its only natural to want to know when and how these things will take place. Earthquakes are one of the signs or signals that the Bible gives us to show that we are in the 'last days' Its not the end yet as they are just signs that alert us that its getting near and it gives us time to get prepared.
Further on in that chapter it says:
"And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14)
If this 'good news of the kingdom' is to be preached thru out the earth before the end comes then we should want to know what that kingdom is and that information can only be found in the Bible.
(John 17:3) says: "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."
Peter said to Jesus, "You have sayings of everlasting life"
Jehovah's Witnesses are happy to help others to take in that knowledge thru Bible studies.
