Machu Pichu . Stay away from the Pacific ring of fire , where about 80 % of all earthquakes occur . You may also want to stay away from areas that are potential areas supervolcano earthquake .

How high altitude? By definition the highest mountains are still growing and thus are subject to earthquake. And Machu Picchu is in the Ring of Fire, being in the upthrust Andies.
