QWhat is the most romantic restaurant in Los Angeles or Orange County area?
Remember, it 's your favorite restaurant , so do not give me Applebys Denny or just because it's your favorite restaurant . I'm talking about the most romantic restaurant . Whether or not it is expansive .
the Fisherman's Restaurant in San Clemente... it's on the pier, you are seated outdoors with the ocean all around you.
They have amazing food, heavenly atmosphere and the views are fantastic. When you put your name on the waiting list, or call for a reservation, ask for an outdoor ocean-side table. Plan to arrive early. When you do they will give you a buzzer to let you know when your table is ready, it has a long range which allows you and your date to stroll the entire length of the pier and back.
My husband to-be and I went there on a visit to my dear friend (all but a sister) who lived in San Clemente - it was truly the most romantic experience. The floor is simple wood-decking under your feet. You hear, see and feel the ocean as the tide comes in or recedes around you. I can't sell this place enough - it is worth looking into, at the very least.
If we were to do it all over again, I'd love for my husband to have proposed to me there - I know we left even more in love than when we'd arrived.
It was one of the most perfect nights of our life, one we will remember for the rest of our lives.
PS - I recommend the skewers of grilled scallops for a starter; my sister and her husband ALWAYS had the oysters rockefeller... and I was assured they never failed on their reputation!
Okay, as a long-time resident of San Clemente, I will have to agree with the first answer. Fisherman's is absolutely the perfect place for romance! Here are a few other possibilities though:
The St. Regis Resort in Dana Point: There are some beautiful restaurants there, especially the one on the beach. You have to be a guest to eat there, but if that's the case, then it's well worth it. They have other restaurants as well.
There are a few restaurants in Dana Point Harbor that have gorgeous views of the harbor, boats and at times the whales! It's very romantic then after dinner to walk around the harbor - very peaceful.
Las Brisas in Laguna Beach - the food is good, but not my favorite - but you absolutely cannot beat the view! It's on a cliff overlooking the Pacific. Great drinks though!
Little Doors in Los Angeles is nice. YOu can choose to sit in the terrace/garden area. The restaurant at the Hotel Bel Air is also very romantic. After dinner (or before) you can stroll through the nice romantic hotel. Inn at the 7th Ray is also very romantic. They have vegan menu, and the whole surrounding is very green and lush. You can choose to sit outside in the terrace sourrounded by sounds of nature and sights of flowers. The Beach House in Laguna Beach is also very romantic. It overlooks the ocean and as you're dining you can hear sounds of waves crashing against the rocks below. Magnificent.
