QIn relation to natural disaster and/or acts of nature, is the east or the west coast safer?

If you have additional funds , I would put my luck next seaview in Idaho !
And the east gets some heavy hurricanes.
But for over all safety the East has got the advantage.
However, the West coast lies on faults and therefore you have to worry about earthquakes, and if they happen outside the west coast in the ocean, you could have to worry about tidle waves.
Given the choice I'd say East coast is safer. Though not 100% safe.
West Coast has a lot of really big Volcano's and we are waiting for an Earth Quake called "The Big One"
