First I find it funny that an atheist would use the bible for arguement at all times when it is said not to use it for discussion. Second, when Jesus cam eto be he is our salvation and the Old Testament was abolished . Old Testament was to live a good life and now the New Testament is that Jesus is their Lord and Savior and live a faithful life good. Check this out .... all atheists . PLEASE!

It's really fascinating how many people reject the Bible , focusing on a short list of alleged Bible contradictions . However, when presented with the miracle of the structure of the Bible , survival , integration, historical veracity , archaeological evidence , scientific insights , outside corroborating records , and hundreds of fulfilled prophecies ( each which far exceed any other

Seeking truth in it and follow it, but be careful not to step into the swamp literal , there is no truth in him . You must find the inspired interpretations .

Its all there people focus on one part and not the whole word . That's why there seems to be contradictions . Hell , for example. There are two physical and spiritual death . And two words for hell . At physical death the tomb go to hell . When you die spiritually in the day of judgment , his envoy to the lake of fire hell .

Because they have been brainwashed into believing a book 2000 years old. Here are some more inconsistencies : GE 1:3-5 On the first day , God created light the light , then separated and darkness . GE 1:14-19 The sun (which separates night and day) was not created until the fourth day . GE 1:11-12 , 26-27 Trees were created before man was created . GE 2:4-9 Man was created before trees were created . GE 1:20-21 , 26-27 birds were created before man was created . GE 2:7 , 19 Man was created before birds were created . GE 1:24-27 Animals were created before man was created . GE 2:7 , 19 Man was created before animals were created . GE 1:26-27 Man and woman were created simultaneously. GE 2:7 , 21-22 Man was created woman first, at some later time . GE 1:28 God encourages reproduction . LE 12:1-8 God requires purification rites following childbirth which , in effect , makes childbirth a sin. ( Note : The period for purification following the birth of a daughter is twice that for a son . ) GE 1:31 God was pleased with his creation . GE 6:5-6 God was not pleased with his creation. ( Note : That God was displeased is inconsistent with the concept of omniscience . ) GE 2:4 , 4:26, 12:8 , 22:14-16 , 26:25 God was already known as

I do not pay much attention to religion . But I do not like the idea just because the Bible says that this is a mistake that should not. Sometimes even doubting things , like how they know this or why this happened yet? So really do not believe what the Bible says , because no one knows if this really happened . It's confusing .

The Old Testament is full agreement with the New Testament . The Old Testamentnt speaks of hell and an afterlife .
#8hollieAnswered at 2012-12-16 15:47:44
Where did you get the idea that hell is not mentioned in the Old Testament ? Or that there is no afterlife mentioned there ? You are absolutely wrong on both points . I could list many, but it would be a waste because if you wanted you could find yourself. Ecclesiastes you quote is speaking of the spiritually dead . It talks about how the evil / spiritually dead could also enjoy this life , but his joy in it will end because they have wasted their time testing and learning . The biggest problem with the OT and NT is the misinterpretation of those who read and think they can know the meanings without the inspiration of the Spirit . 2 Peter 1:20-21

You have shown absolutely conclusive inconsistencies , so I'd say its fallacy does not hold. The Bible has no contradictions and this has been demonstrated . D1

We believe in the Bible until it is translated correctly . You can also misinterpret the scriptures cited .

Um , where in the Old Testament does it say that there is no hell ? Why create a straw man ?
#13KyshaAnswered at 2013-06-24 09:59:33
Thats exactly the way i believe the bible is written by men who did not even live in that time. They just say what they want. the stories change by everyone who writes it. They say the bible by thomas is the closest one of truth but who knows that for sure. the bibles were written hundreds of years after jesus.

You are confused because you lack understanding. Read the Bible all you want, if you don't have the Holy Spirit to help guide you through it, it will only confuse you more.

There is no contradiction or inconsistencies in the Word of God.
1Corinthians 2 speaks about the wisdom of man compared to the infinite wisdom of God.
Here is some examples.....
1 Corinthians 2:5
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
v. 6) Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are not perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nothing:
v. 7) But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
v. 8) Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory. (Who is the Lord of Glory? Jesus Christ the son of God.)
v.9) But it is written, Eye hath not seen, neither ear heard, neither have it entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.
V. 10) But God has revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit search all things, yes, the deep things of God.
v.11) For what man know the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God know no man, but the Spirit of God.
v.12) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
v.13) Which things we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teach, but which the Holy Ghost teach; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
v. 14) But the natural man receive not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
v. 15) But he that is spiritual judge all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
v.16) For who have known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we (Christians) have the mind of Christ.

There is nothing in life that is not in the Book of Life!
God knows all about us, that is why He understands man. It is up to us to give our hearts to God so that we can understand Him!

It would take too long to go into detail here. IF you are really interested go to a church and ask the pastor.

But if you are not a christian, why do you care? You should fee confident enough in your own beliefs that it shouldnt matter what other religions think.
